Ok. I am addicted I admit it. I cannot stop. I take a pic edit the fuck out of it and when I am really happy with it, I save it then post it to the fifty thousand social media networks I am also addicted to, and then I edit the same picture again but differently!
It is a vicious cycle that I cannot stop, or jump out of. Most of the people I know are also in said ‘cycle’.
In saying that I have come to find that I have collected a lot of cool iPhone apps along the way and I use them all invariably to create a cool looking picture that I can keep a memory of my life trapped within.
I have taken pictures dangerously whilst driving to grab a cool picture, I don’t think it is illegal to snap a pic while driving is it, not if you desperately want it to post on instagr.am?
I have shared many intimate photos of my life just because I believe that one should be able to try and explain the feelings of love, happiness, despair, hunger, refreshment [insert kirin/asahi lust] and amazment, most of all the warmth of being surrounded by family. Photos that are snapped on the go take small steps to helping share these moments, to help other people feel what you feel, artificial sepia tone and all, comic book layout as well!
I am not talking about $50000 dollar cameras, posed, and waking at 4am to get the perfect shot of a blue wren, at 515am, on the balcony of a heritage building, in a cool part of town whilst sipping a latte. Although I do love these pictures.
I am talking about the $1.99 hisptamatic photo of ‘dad jokes’ and the laughter they bring. The amazment I feel every time I drive over the Pyrmont bridge only to think ‘fuck this thing is awesome, I cannot believe we can build something this fucking big, oh and cool looking’
I am talking about over processed photos of children playing, made to look like they were from a time of 70′s golden era, when mortgages were $70000 and life was about chicken chips dipped in peppermint choc chip icecream [don't believe me go there!].
END RANT.
This started out as a post to share some apps I use. for Bugs15, follow her on instagram. great snap and shoots. I don’t have her email address but want to share the magic trickery that allows me to take a picture of my latte at 0915am, in a hospital part of town, whilst watching a seagull in the innerwest and thinking of my family

take and edit photos with most of these. My favs, and top 3 camera+, pictureshow, and tiltshift, a special place in my heart for hipstamatic, which started all this.

most of these apps have been discovered by my very smart wife, or friends I have meet through instagram in japan. the camera app above with korean writing is called pudding camera, also very cool!!
Enjoi every one.
